Advisory Board Members

Sally J.J. Romero

A WSC graduate, Sally has been involved in the Westerners In Transition program for quite some time; she first served as a WIT mentor, WIT board member, served for four years as Director of the Westerners In Transition program and now is the Chair of the organization as well. Sally states that she has a sincere appreciation for the pursuit of education for everyone and welcomes non-traditional students as they return to higher education!
Anne Steinbeck
A WSC graduate, Anne has served on the Advisory board since its inception. She states that this volunteer activity gives a venue for her interest in helping persons ensure a more meaningful life through education. A one-year scholarship is awarded yearly; the Anne Flick-Steinbeck scholarship.

Ruth Maguire
A retired Western State College Programmer/Analyst, Ruth is a WIT mentor who is always ready to help and offer support to the program and the students.
Don Maguire
An emeritus Psychology professor of Western State College , Don is committed to involving non-traditional students in the WIT Program on campus. His input and support have been a great help to the program.
Liz Fuller
Liz has worked at WSC since 1989 and is proud to be a 1997 graduate of the WIT program. Her three children all attended WSC and she hopes one day her grandchildren will!!
She has been the administrative assistant in the Department of Business, Accounting and Economics for the past six years and considers this to be “the best job in the world”!
She considers it an honor to have been involved with the WIT program since its inception. It has been a wonderful experience to follow so many WIT members through their college career and see them excel in their chosen careers.
