Recycled Art Competition Submission:

 Deadline- 5:00pm Thursday, April 25

Significant events have occurred in the last 50 years in regards to the growing climate crisis. With these issues having been addressed, it is now time to take action. This year, we wish to pay homage to the environmental successes of the past, as well as well as look towards the future. Despite some progress, 50 years of environmental exploitation and degradation lies behind us, so we must ask ourselves: what do the next 50 years hold? We, as the human race, have now reached the “Point of No Return”, and difficult but vital choices must be made. Choices that each and every one of you are responsible for. Which direction will our precarious existence shift towards? Who and what events have brought our planet to it’s now vulnerable condition? Do you see yourself making changes in your own life? This years theme “50/50” allows for careful examination of our delicate state of being, and asks you to be the active leaders towards a stronger future.

Parameters/Requirements: We ask you to tell your own story and portray your ideals using original works of art. Any medium may be used to do this. That includes 2D Art, 3D Art, Poetry, Music or Film. Materials should be recycled, repurposed or otherwise demonstrate sustainable ideals through content portrayed.

Note: The review committee reserves the right to reject any submission which is obscene in nature. Works portraying profanities, pornographic material or violence directed toward an individual or group will not be accepted.

Quality art is recognizable, so please keep works respectful and professional.
