Player of the Week

Allison Drescher, Rugby

Allison Drescher was selected as Player of the Week for an outstanding individual performance against the Mesa State women’s rugby team. Allison's physicality, aggression and determination helped the WSC women gain and shift momentum as well as retain possession in a difficult loss to the lady Mavericks.

Men's Rugby

The modern version of Western State College Rugby team started in 1987, with roots going all the way back to the 1930s.

With a long history, WSC rugby has been a stepping stone for many great rugby players. WSC Rugby is committed to upholding a traditon of excellence, dedication, and fun. We compete in the Division II college conference under the Eastern Rockies Rugby Football Union. In 1999 the team won the national championship.
