Week 3- Durango

On week 3 WSC cycling team hit Durango, CO for the Fort Lewis race. this race was a learning experience for our riders with a much more fitness based downhill and a long technical cross country. Our riders struggled with the new conditions but learned a lot from the experience. Ansel Schimpff stepped up for the long downhill with his best finish yet, 5th in mens "A" and also placed 9th in Mens "B" short track. Sunday the team headed to the dual slalom. after qualifying Jordan Newth sat in 2nd just behind CU's Joey Schusler but unfortunately crashed out in the first round and ended up 9th. Owen Tulip went on to take 3rd for WSC. With the Fort Lewis race in the past WSC looks forward to the race in Winter Park.
