2013 Orientation Coordinators

Torin & Brittney

Torin Power Brittney Hogan
Hi, My name is Torin Power and I am Anthropology Major and a sociology minor orginally from the Denver area. I am the AnthroClub president and I love the Gunni lifestyle, skiing is probably my favorite hobby! This school has really opened doors for me and I would recommend getting involved.  When its not snowing outside and i cant go skiing im either playing guitar, rafting, or traveling! The best event that i have been involved with was a field school for the Anthropology program which took me down to the jungles of Northwest Belize to excavate Maya ruins. The most important thing to take advatage of with WSCU is the small classes and the awesome professors and faculty. As an Orientation Leader last year I had so much fun that I wanted get more involved. Hello! My name is Brittney Hogan. I came to Gunnison after graduating high school from Littleton. I am a Colorado native and can’t think of a better place to be! My studies at WSCU include psychology, sociology and art. The most important part of college for me has been to be involved in the campus and surrounding community. One reason that WSCU and the Gunnison valley have remained my home for the last four years is due to the small school atmosphere and small town feel.  The best part about Gunnison for me is the outdoors and my Chaco’s, and the best way to enjoy those is to float the Gunnison River, which happens to be right in our backyard.
