Board Rates

  • Western State College of Colorado shall determine rates no later than July 1st of eachacademic years.
  • These rates are subject to the approval of the Trustees of the State Colleges of Colorado.
  • Western State College of Colorado reserves the right to change board rate at any time. Students will be notified of such changes, if any, in writing at least 30 days prior to the rate change.Refunds and Changes
  • Students can only change or drop meal plans until the 3rd day of class each term.
  • Only when a student officially withdraws from Western State College of Colorado during an academic semester will meal plan refunds be granted.
  • Refunds will be prorated to the Friday following successful completion of checkout procedures from the residence halls as listed in the Student Handbook.
  • Refunds of unused Flex Dollars will be handled through the Mountaineer Card office in the College Union.

The Particulars

Flex Dollars are discretionary dollars associated with the meal plans. Students may use this money exclusively for food purchases at Packer's in the Student Union or for meals themselves or guests in Keating Dining Hall. All unused Flex Dollars expire at the end of each semester.

Block meals are all-you-care-to-eat meals. These may be used at any meal in Keating Hall. All unused Block Meals expire at the end of each semester.

Meal plans are for the exclusive use of the student assigned to the plan. Students are not permitted to transfer use of their meal card. Students have until the end of the Add/Drop Deadline each semester to change their meal plans, after which time they will be locked in for the semester. Students will not be allowed to dine until they have a valid working ID with a registered meal plan.
