WSC PLRM Program Receives Software Donation from P2 Energy Solutions
Jan. 26, 2010 -- P2 Energy Solutions has awarded a $578,000 in-kind contribution to the Professional Land and Resource Management (PLRM) program of Western State College of Colorado (WSC).
P2 Energy Solutions provides a comprehensive range of software, geospatial data, land management tools and outsourcing, to the energy industry. The contribution to Western includes product, training, maintenance and service for the firm’s Tobin Enterprise Land software, the leading land management software used in the oil and gas and renewable energy industry for lease acquisition and tracking for major, mid-cap and micro-cap firms.
“Our new partnership with P2 Energy Solutions will add another level of real-world skill and expertise for our PRLM students,” said Ed Grauke, WSC Moncrief chair and PLRM director. “This will give our students direct experience with GIS, leasing and resource management that will help further differentiate our land management graduates from those at other universities.”
P2’s contribution will allow WSC students to graduate with a thorough understanding of real-world workflows, the importance of high-quality, accurate data, and relevant data-capture dependencies.
“By allowing WSC students and instructors to learn and use Tobin Enterprise Land, P2 will assist with the training and development of future generations of oil and gas professionals,” added Bret Bolin, P2 Energy Solutions’ president and CEO. “This will enable WSC students to learn vital lease and contract information as well as learn and understand what and how data is captured in a lease record management application.”
