New Members Appointed to WSC Board of Trustees

March 25, 2011 -- Linda A. Clark and Todd M. Wheeler have been appointed to the Western State College of Colorado (WSC) board of trustees.

Clark and Wheeler were appointed to the College’s independent governing board by Gov. John Hickenlooper and confirmed by the state Senate. Their terms expire Dec. 31, 2014.

Clark, of Denver, retired from Piper Jaffray in 2008 after 29 years of investment banking. She established the Piper Denver Public Finance office in 1990.  Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Clark was senior vice president and manager of public finance for Boettcher & Company. She currently serves as treasurer of Florence Crittenton Services, is a member of the Colorado Women's Forum and a board member of Colorado Physicians Insurance Company.

Wheeler, a 1990 WSC alumnus, is executive director of the global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. based in New York City. Wheeler, of Castle Rock, has more than 20 years experience as a market leading transaction consultant, advising high-end clients on optimizing the value they receive from their business real estate portfolios. He is a highly regarded expert in leasing, structured finance and portfolio optimization who has won regional, national and global awards. Wheeler sits on the board of directors for the Tennyson Center for Children and Families and has served on the board of directors for the Denver Metropolitan Association of Commercial Realtors.

Clark and Wheeler fill vacancies left by Peter Dea and Peter Kirchhof, whose terms expired on Dec. 31, 2010. Both served on the board of trustees since its inception in July 2003.
