Bonfils Blood Drive
The first blood drive of the academic year! Wednesday, September 18th.
The first of four Bonfils BLOOD DRIVES on campus this year will take place at the Aspinal Wilson Center on Wednesday, September 18th from 8:30 am to 3 pm. If you wish to sign up for an appointment to donate please email Suzy at email@example.com or call and leave a message at 943-2645. Include your name, phone number and the time you wish to donate and she will contact you to confirm your appointment once she gets it entered into the system. You can also sign up for the drive online at www.bonfils.org or by calling 1-800-365-0006 ext 2. (You can walk-in to donate, but sometimes you have to wait in line for a while.)
Appointments occur every 10 minutes and it takes about 45-60 minutes to get through the full process of check-in, paperwork, initial screening, donation and treat/juice imbibing. Potential donors are deferred for tattoos or piercings received within the last 12 months or travel to malaria infested countries. Travel to most areas of Mexico now constitutes a deferment, unless there is no chance at all that you were exposed to malaria. Check with me or Bonfils if you have questions about deferrals--the sooner the better.
Please consider donating, as the blood supply in reserve in September is traditionally low. Reserve your spot today!
