In January 2012, Governor Hickenlooper declared 2012 as The Year of Water to promote a greater awareness of water issues through community education, action, and celebration. Colorado Water 2012 is a yearlong effort to “engage Coloradoans in a statewide celebration of water: past, present, and future.” As part of this celebration, Savage Library is hosting a traveling display “Celebrate Water: Connecting Coloradoans to Their Water.” Information about local water issues provided by environmental studies students.
