Western Preview Days

Dig deeper! Preview Days are your chance to really see what being a student at Western is like. Meet with faculty and coaches, eat in our dining hall, get a campus tour and get all of your questions answered.

For the 2009 Preview Days students will get a free ski pass for Saturday and family members will be able to ski for half price.

Campus Tours

Come for a visit! The campus tour lasts one hour and is led by one of our student Highlander Hosts. Following the tour is a thirty minute information session with an admissions counselor. With enough advance notice we can also schedule appointments with faculty, coaches or financial aid.

Tour Schedule:

Monday - Friday at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

** Tours are not available on Dec 25-26, and Jan 1-2.

**January 19th and February 16th there will only be a 10am tour offered.

Enjoy the Gunnison Valley

While you are here we hope you can check out the area. Get a flavor for mountain living by attending one of the area's many art, music and outdoor festivals. Any day of the week explore local shops, restaurants and galleries. For outdoor adventure head to the area's hiking and mountain biking trails, raft or fly fish on the Gunnison River or hit the slopes at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Monarch ski resorts.

By Air:

The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is a major hub for the Western Slope of Colorado. Serviced year-round, our airport provides frequent and convenient jet service with several airline partners. Ground transportation, rental cars and shuttle service are also available. By Land:

Western is accessible by several interstate highways. Maintained year-round, Highway 50 connects with main arteries leading to Denver, Albuquerque, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and other metro areas.
