Do you have any Mac security tips?

Yes.

  1. Update OS X automatically.
  2. Use strong passwords or passphrases
  3. Use and properly maintain good anti-virus software, and optionally anti-spyware software.
  4. Do not open suspicious email attachments or respond to suspicious requests.
  5. Do not allow your browser to save passwords. (mention keychain)
  6. Lock your screen when you step away and shut down your computer when you'll be gone for more than 6 hours.
  7. Require a password to wake your screensaver.
  8. Apply vendor security patches regularly.
  9. Turn the computer off at night/weekends.
  10. Encrypt any data stored locally on your computer that is confidential or sensitive by using FileVault.
