Endorsement Areas Offered
The Endorsement Areas listed below are offered through Western State Colorado University and the links will provide you with an overview of the collegiate coursework required prior to entering the program.
The endorsement areas are combined below according to emphasis tracks that are offered through the Master of Arts in Education at Western State Colorado University.
Internship Tract NOTE: You will need to request a transcript evaluation from Western State College for the collegiate coursework requirements for the endorsement area that you are seeking below. The Western State College transcript evaluation is REQUIRED if you are enrolling in the internship program or are currently a licensed teacher and adding an endorsement based on content review of courses.
You will make the transcript evaluation request as part of the Master of Arts in Education Application.
CDE will do a content review as part of the alternative licensure application; however, it may take up to 22 weeks to hear the results. All content courses need to be on a transcript by July of the year you want to enroll in the program.
Western's transcript evaluation is based on the CDE content requirements; therefore, if you think you may need to take more content courses , you can request a Western transcript evaluation and get the results sooner.
Principal NOTE: A transcript evaluation is NOT required if you are seeking a principal endorsement.
